Global Studies Core
The Global Studies requirement introduces students to a range of contemporary global topics that impact all nations, such as: the transnational movement of peoples and their cultural practices, including economies and governance; the development of technology and communications across nations; the changing identities of peoples and nations as a result of cross-cultural influences and the resistance to those influences; and global governance that determines issues of international law and human rights, environmental changes, and political states.
Global Studies minors take 9 hours of coursework in the Global Studies Core Requirement. Each of the three courses must be from a different disciplines: Anthropology, Economics, Geography, History, Political Science, and Sociology.
